This very rare two line gilt dial dates to 1961, with matching 1/61 case back. Unfortunately the case serial numbers are impossible to read due to being rubbed by the spring bars over the years. The case is nice and thick with the original pointed crown guards remaining in original condition. The bracelet and hands have been replaced during previous Rolex services. There are a total of 6 service markings inside the case back. This "Tulip" dial is still very glossy but with some tiny imperfections around the gilt lume plots. Fitted with its faded long 5 insert.
