The Squale 1521 Marina Militare Limited Edition 1521MARINA.MIBK is a great Swiss Made watch that just oozes character. Inspired by the iconic skin-diver watches of the 60's and 70's, Squale leaves the silhouette true to the original classic diving watches.

Squale has a deep connection to the Marina Militare (Italian Navy) that goes back to the 1980's when Squale became their official watch supplier. Squale designed these watches according to the specific requests of the Italian Navy. This watch is a renewed collaboration, 40 years later. 2024 is a particularly significant year for the Italian Navy, celebrating its underwater activities. The choice of the 1521 collection is symbolic, as the first model supplied to the Navy was indeed a 1521. 

The case is slim and has relatively short lugs, which means that despite being 42mm in diameter, it will still be comfortable on most wrists. Having the crown at the 4 o'clock position also contributes to the streamlined look of this watch.
The watch itself is very modern in terms of comfort: sapphire crystal with an AR coating, a Sellita SW200-1 Elabore, a tremendous 500m water resistance and a very comfortable microfiber strap with an additional black natural rubber strap. The dial has a beautiful brossé finish, with applied markers and to top it all off, a combination of orange and green SuperLuminova! A serious Swiss Made diving watch with a ton of wrist presence!
